*WOMAN DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT WHILE PURSUING THE HUSBAND AND HIS LOVER GIRL ..The Woman Was A Lawyer And Mother Of Three Pretty Kids
Tragedy struck yesterday, Sunday 18 September, as a woman died from a ghastly motor accident in Calabar, Cross River State capital, while allegedly chasing her husband whom she saw with another woman believed to be her husband's lover girl.
AJM NEWS gathered that the tragic incident occurred along the Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar Municipal Local Government Area, when the woman, who was before her death a Lawyer and mother of three children, rammed her blue Toyota Highlander into a tree in a ditch by the roadside.
According to an eyewitness, Stephen Okposin, the woman was chasing her husband whom she caught with another woman at SPAR Calabar mall before meeting her untimely death halfway.
Okposin said she was rushed to the hospital by her husband who later dropped the lady she was carrying off but unfortunately, she died at the hospital because of the impact of the accident.
“An accident just happened in Cali (Calabar) at Murtala Mohamed Highway…A lady saw her hubby at Spar shop with another woman in the car, so, she hurriedly drove to double cross them – the man saw her car and zoomed off.
“The woman became aggressive and sped up! I was just driving behind them and just in less than 3 minutes, I saw her involved in an accident and she was unconscious at the point of death.
“Her hubby that was running suddenly dropped off the lady he was with and rushed down to assist revive her wife from the wrecked car. She was been rushed to the hospital but later gave up”, Okposin said.
Confirming the accident, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Cross River State, Maikano Hassan, said the incident was caused by over-speeding.
Hassan said the incident involving a Toyota Highlander, which occurred on Murtala Muhammed Highway in Calabar, claimed the life of the lone female driver who veered off the road into a ditch by the road.
He added that “Though the woman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but she was said to have died few minutes later due to the injury sustained from the accident.
